CHICA
TORONTO I CANADA
Chica is a vibrant tapas and cocktail bar that brings the electric energy of Spanish street life to Toronto’s King West. Designed to feel fun, flavourful, and just a little chaotic, it’s a space where casual cravings meet bold design and where every night feels like a party you didn’t know you needed.
Chica tells the story of a spontaneous night out, where small plates are passed around the table, cocktails are dangerously good, and the vibe is unapologetically loud. Inspired by Spain’s bustling street culture, Chica blends culinary heat with street art edge to create a space that’s playful, social, and full of sensory surprises.
Chica draws inspiration from the graffiti-lined streets of Spain—artful, wild, and full of personality. The design channels the grit and colour of urban Spanish life, layered with handcrafted materials and local artistry. It’s an intentional clash of refined and raw, loud and lush.
The mural by Toronto artist Candice Kay wraps the interior in a bold, immersive experience that feels more like stepping into a painting than a restaurant. This striking centerpiece is supported by a wall of hand-laid terracotta tiles, plush velvet upholstery, and custom-woven lanterns, each adding texture, depth, and regional reference.
